Inspect previous requests
Testfully keeps a history of all the requests you send, allowing you to go back in time and inspect the history of your requests. This feature is useful when you need to review the details of a previous request, copy a request, or resend a request with different parameters.
Availability
The history feature is available for both Testfully Cloud and Testfully Offline users across all billing plans.

Snapshot of a request
When you send a request in Testfully, the application takes a snapshot of the request, including all of its details, such as the request method, URL, headers, body, before and after scripts, and response. This snapshot is saved in the history and can be accessed at any time.
Accessing the history
To access the history of your requests, click on the History pane in the sidebar. The history pane displays a list of most recent requests you've sent, along with a summary of each request, including the request method, URL, status code, and request time.
Viewing a request
To view the details of a request in the history, click on the request in the list. This will open the request editor with the details of the selected request. You can review the request details, make changes, and resend the request if needed.
Re-using a request
If you want to create a new request based on a previous request, you can apply the changes you need to the request and then save it using the Save button in the request editor. This will create a new request with the updated details.
Controlling when to save requests
By default, Testfully saves a snapshot of every request you send. However, we offer a setting that allows you to control when to save requests. You can apply this settings for a request, a folder, or an environment.
Available Options

Setting the save option for a request
To set the save option for a request, follow these steps:
- Open a request in the request editor.
- Click on the Settings button in the request editor.
- Select the desired option from the History dropdown.
- Click on the Save button to save the settings.
Setting the save option for a folder
To set the save option for a folder, follow these steps:
- Hover over the folder in the sidebar and click on the
...button. - Click on the Settings button to open the folder settings.
- Select the desired option from the History dropdown.
- Click on the Save button to save the settings.
Setting the save option for an environment
To set the save option for an environment, follow these steps:
- Open the environment settings by clicking on the
Environmentsbutton in the sidebar. - Click on the environment that you want to edit.
- Click on the Settings button to open the environment settings.
- Select the desired option from the History dropdown.
- Click on the Save button to save the settings.
